Belyn was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, however, has made Dixon her home since she was about a year old. Her family ties to Dixon run back to the 1800's, which gives Belyn a strong sense of community pride. She is active in the community through various school and athletic organizations.

Belyn and her husband Keith are kept busy with their three children and their activities. Jasen, Allison, and Marissa are all involved in sports and raising animals for 4-H and FFA. This, along with her favorite pastimes of cooking, reading and antique shopping, keep Belyn very busy.
